At Redeemer, we create opportunities for growth and community through a variety of groups. We believe this is important because we are made in the image of the triune God and are, therefore, created out of community and for community. It is good for us to be known and know each other. Here is the difference between these groups:
Community Dinner Groups
Community Dinner Groups are semester-long groups (adults only; no childcare provided) that meet monthly to share a meal and get to know each other. When you signup for a group, you are committing to four meals, and to share in the call of hospitality by hosting one of these meals in your home. As the host, you organize who is bringing what food and communicate to the group as the dinner date comes near. Group sign-ups occur in August and January.
Small Groups
Small groups create a place for people to grow in faith, to be cared for and to care for others. These groups focus on making real relational connections with one another while discussing the deep truths of the gospel and how they impact our daily lives. Their aim is to let grace and truth root deeply into our hearts and minds as we discuss together.
We have men’s and women’s small groups that run during the school year (September through May) and break during the holidays. Small groups meet either weekly or bi-weekly (depending on the facilitator). We will have sign-ups for small groups each August and January. If you have any questions about small groups or missed the sign-up period, please let us know.
Other Groups
Family Worship
Family Worship is a wonderful time for families to worship together in a setting geared toward young children. Parents remain with their children during this time. The Infertility Care Group is for those experiencing the pain of infertility and pregnancy loss.
