At Christ the Redeemer Church of Marietta, we don’t want to simply babysit children on Sunday mornings. We’re here to provide a safe and fun environment that will lead each child to follow Jesus. It’s our honor to partner with you in this task. Here is our mission:

Mission

To teach the Scriptures so children understand God’s gracious rescue of people through Jesus.

Our Values

Tell the Story of Jesus as our rescuer, have fun, and trust the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of each child’s heart.

Redeemer Kids is our children’s ministry offered for Babies through 5th grade while adults worship in the service. Drop-Off begins 15 minutes before the service.

The classroom hour for the 2s, 3s and Pre-K classrooms will include an interactive lesson, snack, craftt, and free play time.

The classroom hour for Lower Elementary (Kindergarten and 1st Grade), Middle Elementary (2nd and 3rd Grade) and Upper Elementary (4th and 5th Grade) students will include an interactive lesson, activities, and a time of fellowship.

Here are the age groups we have
available on Sunday mornings:

Babies: 6 Weeks – Scooters (Room 101)
Crawlers & Early Walkers (Room 102)
Toddlers: 18 months+ (Room 103)
Twos (Room 104)
Threes (Room 105)
Pre-K: Fours & Fives (Room 106)
Lower Elementary: Kindergarten and 1st Grade (Room 107)
Middle Elementary: 2nd and 3rd Grade (Room 108)
Upper Elementary: 4th and 5th Grade (Room 109)

We follow the “kindergarten cutoff” (September 1st) for all preschool and elementary age groups, starting with the Twos class. All classrooms are divided into age groups with age appropriate toys, play equipment, and seating (table and chair heights) in each classroom.

Each preschool and elementary classroom contains age-appropriate curriculum, taking into account children's capabilities, developmental stages, and level of comprehension.

We ask all first-time visitors to plan to have their child placed in his/her appropriate classroom based on his/her birthday. This allows the child to immediately begin getting comfortable in their proper classroom.

Prepare for Sunday

Babies – Toddlers: Please leave a diaper bag with diapers, wipes, a change of clothes and any other items that will soothe your child like a prepared bottle or pacifier. Make sure your bag and all items are clearly labeled.

Toddlers through Threes: Please let the Sitter know where your child is in the potty training process. Please always bring a bag with diapers or pull-ups and a change of clothes.

Each week we offer a snack to Toddlers through Pre-K. If your child has a food allergy, please be sure to let us know and you are welcome to bring a snack from home as a substitute. Substitute snacks should be nut-free.

Due to possible unknown allergies, we ask parents to send in a snack for babies and crawlers. These snacks should be nut-free due to food allergy concerns.

Information for All Ages

  • Be sure to fill out your child’s information on the visitor sheet in his/her classroom and include a phone number of a parent who can be reached during the service in case of an emergency.

  • For your child’s safety, you will receive a security tag at drop-off. One half goes on your child’s back and the other half goes with you into the service. Please be sure to bring the tag back at pick-up time so we know the child is being released to an adult who has permission to pick up.

  • Please bring a water bottle (or cup with a lid) for your child to enjoy during the hour. Security items like blankets or stuffed animals are okay to bring to church but please leave other items like electronics or toys in the car so children can focus on the lesson prepared by our volunteers.

As for knowing who is with your child: All volunteers and Sunday Sitters must submit a background check that is updated yearly. All adults who work with the children must successfully complete a child safety-training course before serving on Sunday mornings. We follow the “2-person rule” at all times so a child is never alone with an adult.

We are so excited to get to know you and your child! Please let me know if you have any questions.
